The Office of Housing Administration (OHA) is pleased that you have been admitted to San Diego State University. You are invited to join our dynamic residential community.
The OHA Web site provides detailed on-campus housing information. Please visit the Web site for more information regarding the housing application process, residence hall options, living communities, meal plans and costs.
SDSU provides a variety of living communities tailored to your major and interests. Space is limited in these communities. If you choose to live on campus during your freshman year, SDSU recommends you live in a residential learning community. Residential learning communities (RLCs) are designed to assist first-time freshmen living on campus as they make the transition from high school to college. Participants are enrolled as a group in a set of connected courses. Being a part of an RLC will help you to develop life-long friendships and will make SDSU feel like a smaller place. Resident Advisors and Academic Mentors create great communities through floor events, guest lectures, field trips, and one-on-one support.
Residence halls provide a number of amenities to make your on-campus living experience a positive one. Living on campus at SDSU means freedom from frustrating commutes, costly utility bills, daily meal preparation, and cleaning. Amenities include: 10 MB Ethernet connection in each room; local telephone, voicemail and cable services; study, lounge and recreation rooms; swimming pools and volleyball courts; kitchenette for hall events; weekly residence hall newsletter; and membership to the state-of-the-art Aztec Recreation Center. Your residence hall contract includes a choice of several meal plans and most rooms are equipped with a microfridge (mini-microwave/refrigerator/freezer).
Regardless of which community you choose, the SDSU residence halls provide a strong support network within your living environment and the opportunity to establish close-knit friendships. Most of SDSU’s living options include live-in staff to help you have a successful college experience. To find out more about the different residence hall options, visit the OHA Web site and check out the Virtual Housing Tour.
