4. Attend Classes On Campus
After you've paid your summer basic tuition and fees (or you qualified to postpone paying these charges via financial aid), the SDSU Office of the Registrar will automatically register you for the six-unit block of FAST classes:
- July 6 to August 9, 2017
- Classes will be held on campus Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Mandatory tutoring sessions for English and math are scheduled during the day.
If only one remedial course is required, you will also be enrolled in a General Education course: TFM 160, Cinema as Art and Communication.
You may view your schedule online in your SDSU WebPortal account.
What to Bring
Your FAST classes are compressed into a short five-week format, so there's no time to wasteŚwe'll get started with the material on the very first day. Come prepared with your notebook, pencil, calculator, and water bottle. The instructor will tell you which book(s) to purchase at the SDSU Bookstore.
If you had an IEP or 504 plan in high school, you are encouraged to continue using accommodations in college. Admitted SDSU students who require reasonable accommodations to take part in the FAST program at San Diego State University (on-campus or online) should provide disability documentation to Student Disability Services as soon as possible. Medical Verification and the Application for Services forms can be downloaded from the SDS website. Completed documents may be submitted by regular mail or by fax to (619) 594-4315.
