How to Apply

First, follow the graduate steps to apply.

Then, submit to the department:

  1. Three letters of recommendation from professors, at least two of which should be from professors of French at the institution where the degree was granted (in sealed envelopes)
  2. A writing sample (your best paper written in French, preferably for a literature class)
  3. The filled out GTA application form if you are interested in teaching French in the program. (The GTA form should be requested from the Graduate Adviser for the MA in French before the application deadline.)

Fall 2013 Deadline   

Step 1: CSUMentor Application—March 1
Step 2 and 3: File Completion—April 1

All application materials including departmental requirements must be submitted by the file completion date.

Spring Deadline
