We encourage you to first visit the Graduate Admissions Web site to learn about the steps you need to take to apply to SDSU. It's recommended that you visit the Web page of your intended program/department to review their requirements before you apply.
To apply to SDSU, you will need to complete the CSUMentor online application.
- Who should I contact when I have questions about the application process?
Contact Graduate Admissions at (619) 594-6336. Contact the department for questions about department-specific admission requirements.
- Which transcripts should I submit to SDSU?
You will need to submit to Graduate Admissions official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended. Students with international coursework must submit both official transcripts and proof of degree (diploma). If documents are in a language other than English, they must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
All transcripts must be submitted after you complete the CSUMentor online application.
- How can I check the status of my application?
To check the status of your application, you will need to log in to your WebPortal account using your RedID number. Your status will be updated as we receive your transcripts and test scores. Normally it takes two to three weeks for your transcripts to be updated.
