International Cost of Attendance

All admitted international students requiring an F-1 student visa must submit financial documents issued within the past six months to provide evidence of funding for a minimum of one academic year. An SDSU I-20 will only be issued once your financial documents are approved by the SDSU Office of Admissions.

Admitted students must submit the San Diego State University Financial Statement Form and supporting financial documents. Submit your completed financial documents by email to intladmission@sdsu.edu or by mail to:

Undergraduate Costs of Attendance

Costs of attendance are subject to change by the Trustees of the California State University without prior notice. The amounts indicated are the estimated minimum costs required to attend SDSU full time for the 2017–18 academic year. (9 months):

The cost listed for a first year freshman is based on on-campus housing. The cost listed for an upper-division transfer is based on a student living off campus.

****For freshmen, the average annual cost of books and supplies is $1,854, transportation is $1,493. For upper-division transfers, the average annual cost of books and supplies is $1,854, transportation is $1,919.
