SDSU WebPortal Account
You must create an SDSU WebPortal account to access important
online services at SDSU.
To create an account you will need your RedID. Your RedID is printed on the letter you received from the
Office of Admissions. If you can not find your RedID, go to the "Get
Your RedID" page. Enter your Social Security Number
(do not enter any dashes), your last name and at least the first
letter of your first name, and click on the submit button. If
your RedID is not found, please contact the Office of Admissions
at (619) 594-6336 or admissions@sdsu.edu.
After you have your RedID, visit the SDSU
WebPortal. Enter your RedID and your password. Your password is set
to your birthdate (MMDDYY) by default. For example, if you
were born on December 6, 1983, your password is 120683. Click submit
and follow the instructions to activate your account.
You must have a working e-mail address to
create a portal account. A temporary password will be sent to your e-mail
address, and you must use this temporary password to activate your account.
Information about obtaining a free e-mail account is available at
the "Activate Your Student Account" page once you log in.
