Admissions

Step 1—Start Intent to Enroll Process

Accept Your Offer of Admission by Submitting your Intent to Enroll—Due May 1, 2014

Reserve your place in the fall 2014 class by submitting all of the following items to the SDSU Office of Admissions no later than May 1, 2014. If all of the items are not sent by May 1, it will be assumed that you do not plan to attend SDSU and your space will be made available to another applicant.

  1. Submit the online Intent to Enroll $400 deposit in your SDSU WebPortal. The deposit is non-refundable, and will apply toward your fall basic tuition and fees.
  2. Send official copies of the following transcripts:
    • Transcripts from all colleges you attended as soon as possible (including fall 2013 grades). SDSU will accept only electronic transcripts from the schools listed at www.sdsu.edu/electronictranscripts. Please ensure that you indicate this preference when making your request.
    • Transcripts for all International Baccalaureate credit (if applicable).
For Schools not on SDSU's electronic transcript list (see link above), have transcripts mailed to:
    Office of Admissions
    San Diego State University
    5500 Campanile Drive
    San Diego, CA 92182-7455

  3. Send official copies of the Advanced Placement exam score reports. These should be sent electronically to SDSU, if applicable.

Final Official Transcripts—Due June 30, 2014

You must provide a separate final official transcript showing spring 2014 term grades by June 30, 2014. This final transcript is in addition to the preliminary transcript(s) that must be sent by May 1, 2014.

Your admission eligibility was determined using the information you reported on your application for admission and the SDSU Supplemental Application. All courses you listed as "in progress" or "planned" must be completed with grades of C or higher. You must also maintain your reported overall grade point average. Your transcripts will be used to verify your self-reported information. If your grade point average and/or current course grades drop, or if there is a discrepancy in what you reported on your application compared to your transcripts, this offer of admission may be withdrawn.

Transcript and Test Score Instructions

Official College Transcripts

Official transcripts are required from all colleges you previously and/or currently attend even if you withdrew from the course(s) or the course(s) is not applicable to your degree. Please also include transcripts for all International Baccalaureate credit and Advanced Placement exam credit (if applicable). You must send official transcripts (including fall 2013 grades) for all schools by May 1, 2014. Do not wait for spring 2014 grades to be posted—you will send final transcripts later.

You must request that official transcripts to be sent directly to the SDSU Office of Admissions either electronically or in a sealed envelope. For a transcript to be considered official, it must remain in its original sealed envelope and be issued within the last six months. If opened, the transcript will no longer be valid. Please request your transcripts as soon as grades are posted so that the transcripts will arrive by the deadlines. (Note that it can take several weeks for a school to send a transcript once it is ordered.)

Electronic Transcripts
SDSU will accept only electronic transcripts from the schools listed here. Please ensure that you indicate this preference when making your request.

For schools not on SDSU's electronic transcript list, have official transcripts mailed to:

Office of Admissions
San Diego State University
5500 Campanile Drive
San Diego, CA 92182-7455
