Update Your E-mail and Mailing Address

Important information from SDSU will be communicated to you via e-mail and U.S. mail. It is imperative that we have your correct e-mail and mailing addresses.

If you have not yet applied to SDSU:

Update your e-mail and mailing address in mySDSU.

If you have already applied to SDSU:

Update your e-mail and mailing address in the SDSU WebPortal. If you have not already activated your SDSU WebPortal account, follow the instructions below.

Activating Your WebPortal Account
You must create an SDSU WebPortal account to access important online services at SDSU. To create an account you will need your RedID, which is e-mailed to you within two weeks of applying to SDSU. If you cannot find it, get your RedID at www.sdsu.edu/redid. Contact the Office of Admissions if your RedID is not found.

After you have your RedID, visit the SDSU WebPortal. Enter your RedID and your password. Your password is set to your birthdate (MMDDYY) by default. For example, if you were born on December 6, 1993, your password is 120693. Click submit and follow the instructions to activate your account.

You must have a working e-mail address to create a portal account. A temporary password will be sent to your e-mail address, and you must use this temporary password to activate your account. Information about obtaining a free e-mail account is available at the "Activate Your Student Account" page once you log in.
