Photography

Guests must remain seated until the conclusion of the Commencement ceremony. Guests will not be allowed to stand in the aisles or block the view of others in order to take photos or videos. Camera tripods will not be allowed in Cox Arena. There will be ample opportunity after each ceremony to take photographs, with a wide variety of backdrops available throughout campus.

Graduation portrait photographers will be available during GradFest, April 8 -10, 2008.

California Candids Graduation Photography will be taking photographs of each graduate on stage at the San Diego State University Commencement Ceremonies. Each graduate will be sent no obligation proofs to addresses provided at the ceremonies.

Note: Graduation Photography will not be taken at the College of Arts and Letters Cox Arena ceremony on Friday, May 23 at 4 p.m.

Q&A

Will I have my photograph taken at the commencement ceremony?
Yes, California Candids Graduation Photography will be photographing each graduate as they cross the stage and receive their recognition.  This is a no obligation service provided to you by the San Diego State University.

How will I receive the proofs of my commencement photograph? You will receive them via email and direct mail. You will be asked to provide these addresses on the card that you will take on stage with you from which your name will be announced at the ceremony.

Will I have a commitment for this service? No, this is a complementary service with no obligation to purchase.  You will only have the opportunity to order prints after you have seen your proofs and chosen to order.

When should I expect to receive my commencement ceremony photo proofs? No obligation proofs are normally emailed to graduates within a week of the ceremony. Proofs are direct-mailed to the street address provided within two weeks of the ceremony if an order is not placed via the Internet.
