Cox Arena

Commencement 2008 ceremonies will take place at Cox Arena.

General Information

• Assistive Listening Devices: Listening devices are available upon request at Student Disability Services.



• Conduct: We strive to provide all of our guests with a safe, comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Therefore, the following are restricted or forbidden:
• Guests interfering with other guests ability to enjoy the event;
• Guests using foul or abusive language or gestures;
• Guests appearing impaired by alcohol or drugs;
• Guests refusing to show their ticket when asked by an event staff member;
• Guests sitting in seats for which they are not properly ticketed;
• Guests displaying extreme acts of public affection;
• Guests wearing obscene or indecent clothing;
• Guests interfering with the progress of an event;

Non-compliant guests may be asked to leave the ceremony, arrested or prosecuted.

Guests whose enjoyment of the event is affected by prohibited conduct are asked to seek assistance from any event staff member.



• Customer Service: You may speak with any event staff member with questions and/or comments regarding the event and venue.



• Evacuation Procedure: In the event of an emergency situation requiring an evacuation of the venue, please direct your attention to an event staff member and listen for announcements on the PA system.



• First Aid: There is a First Aid room located on-site at Cox Arena. If you or another guest needs medical attention please alert an event staff member. You will be escorted to the First Aid room if necessary.



• Lost & Found: To inquire about lost items please contact the Cox Arena management office the next business day at 619-594-0234 .



• Restrooms: There are men's and women's restrooms located along the perimeter of the outdoor concourse area and the lower level of the arena. Baby changing tables are also provided in these facilities.



• Smoking: Cox Arena is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the facility. Smoking is permitted on the outdoor concourse only.



• Special Needs: We are dedicated to accommodating the needs of our guests with disabilities, their families and their friends so that they may all enjoy their visit to Cox Arena.



• Telephones: There are payphones located on the outdoor concourse.
