The emergency “blue-light” phones located throughout the campus provide immediate access to the SDSU Police Department dispatch.
Public Safety
The Department of Public Safety functions as a police department that protects and serves the campus community and adjacent neighborhoods 24 hours a day. SDSU has a force of 34 sworn police officers with peace officer powers throughout the State of California.
Emergency call boxes located throughout campus connect students needing assistance to a dispatcher with the push of a button. Public Safety also manages a campus escort service to students from dusk until dawn.
