SERVICES OFFERED BY THE VETERANS AFFAIRS OFFICE


SDSU offers the following educational benefits to veterans and dependents:

  • Chapter 30 (Montgomery GI Bill – Active Duty)
  • Chapter 30 (Montgomery GI Bill – Currently Serving on Active Duty)
  • Chapter 1606 (Montgomery GI Bill – Reservists)
  • Chapter 1607 (Reserve Educational Assistance Program)
  • Chapter 31 (Vocational Rehabilitation)
  • Chapter 35 (Dependents Educational Assistance)
  • California Veterans Fee Waiver Program (Dependents of Veterans with a Service-Connected Disability)

Please note that in order for a student to use their benefits while attending SDSU, the student must be a regularly matriculated student and all classes taken must be required for the educational objective selected.


Tuition Assistance (applies ONLY to active military)

The Veterans Center does not handle tuition assistance. Tuition assistance applications, policies and procedures may be obtained by your reserve unit's education service office. Once you have completed the appropriate paperwork, please contact the University Cashiers Office at (619) 594-5253 for additional details regarding reimbursement procedures.
