Fall Semester 2015

	May 6	Personal registration information available in the SDSU WebPortal.
	May 8	Basic Tuition and Fee payments accepted for registration.
	June 1	New Graduate Student Orientation available (online).
	July 2	Final day for submitting theses to Aztec Shops Montezuma Publishing for thesis review to ensure graduation in August 2015.
	July 1	Applications available for May and August 2016 graduation with a bachelor's degree and with an advanced degree.
	July 3–August 12	Theses may be submitted to the Division of Graduate Affairs after this date on an at-risk basis. However, August 2015 graduation is contingent upon completion of final processing by noon, August 12 with $20 processing fee. Students missing this deadline will be required to reapply for graduation for the term in which they expect to graduate.
	July 14	Fall 2015 registration begins.
	July 16–July 29	New Student Orientation for freshmen and parents (held at SDSU).
	July 31– August 10	New Student Orientation for transfer students and parents (held at SDSU).
	August 12	Thesis review process, including publishing, must be completed by noon on this date at Aztec Shops Montezuma Publishing. Students missing the publishing deadline will be required to reapply for graduation for the term in which they expect to graduate. (Noon deadline)
	August 14	Last day for submitting theses for review to Aztec Shops Montezuma Publishing for the current term. (Noon deadline.)
	August 19	First day of fall semester.
	August 20	Last day of registration before classes begin.
	August 20	Faculty and Staff Convocation.
	August 21	Last day to officially withdraw for fall semester and receive a full refund (less administrative fee if applicable).
	August 21	Last day for nonresident (foreign and out-of-state) students to pay deferred tuition and not incur service charges.
	Aug. 21–Aug. 29	Welcome Week.
	August 22	New Student and Family Convocation.
	August 24	FIRST DAY OF CLASSES.
	September 2	Last day for faculty to drop students from classes.
	September 4	Schedule adjustment deadline. Last day to add, drop, or change grading basis (11:59 p.m. deadline.)
	September 4	Last day for payment of fees for late registration. (3:30 p.m. deadline.)
	September 4	Last day to officially withdraw from the university without penalty fee for fall semester 2015. Withdrawal after September 4 requires petition for serious and compelling reason.
	September 4	Last day to apply for December 2015 graduation with a bachelor's degree or advanced degree.
	September 4	Last day to file petition for concurrent master’s degree credit for fall semester 2015.
	September 7	Holiday—Labor Day. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
	September 21	Census.
	October 1	Applications for admission or readmission to San Diego State University for the fall semester 2016 accepted. Undergraduate applications are NOT accepted after November 30 (postmarked). Graduate applicants should consult Graduate Admissions for closing dates.
	October 2-3	Family Weekend.
	October 30	Final day for submitting theses (without risk) to Aztec Shops Montezuma Publishing for thesis review to ensure graduation in December 2015.
	November 2	Last day to officially withdraw from all classes for fall 2015 and receive a prorated refund (withdrawal after September 4 requires special approval and a penalty fee is assessed).
	Nov. 2–Dec. 31	Theses may be submitted to the Montezuma Publishing on an at-risk basis. However, December 2015 graduation is contingent upon completion of final processing by noon on December 18. Students missing this deadline will be required to reapply for graduation for the term in which they expect to graduate.
	November 11	Holiday—Veterans Day. Faculty/Staff holiday. Campus closed.
	November 20	Last day for submission of incomplete and RP grade removals (excluding thesis) for December 2015 graduation with an advanced degree.
	November 25-27	Holiday—Thanksgiving recess. No classes will be held Nov. 25, but campus will remain open. Campus closed Nov. 26-27. Faculty/staff holiday.
	December 4	Last day for reporting results on comprehensive examinations to the Division of Graduate Affairs by department or college.
	December 10	Last day of classes before final examinations.
	December 11-17	Final examinations.
	December 18	Thesis review process, including publishing, must be completed by noon on this date at Aztec Shops Montezuma Publishing. Students missing the publishing deadline will be required to reapply for graduation for the term in which they expect to graduate. (Noon deadline)
	December 22–25	Holiday—Winter recess. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
	December 30 & 31	Campus open. No classes.
	December 31	Last day to apply for a leave of absence for fall semester 2015.
	December 31	Grades due from instructors. (11 p.m. deadline.)
	December 31	Last day for submitting theses for review to Aztec Shops Montezuma Publishing for the current term. (Noon deadline.)
	December 31	Last day of fall semester.
	January 1, 2016	Holiday—New Year's Day. Faculty/staff holiday. Campus closed.
