APPLY TO GRADUATE
Undergraduate students have two options to apply to graduate.
APPLY ONLINE
Enrolled students can apply online through the SDSU WebPortal by clicking on the “Apply to Graduate” menu option.
APPLY IN PERSON
Type and print a graduation application form (below) for the term you anticipate completing all degree requirements. Applications MUST be typed. Handwritten applications will NOT be accepted.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?
After you have submitted your application with a non-refundable $55 filing fee, a degree evaluation will be prepared and mailed to you in approximately eight weeks. This evaluation will list all requirements you must complete prior to graduation, as well as the name and contact information for your graduation adviser. This adviser will be your point-of-contact throughout the graduation process.
Remember that your student account must be settled and cleared with the university before your application for graduation will be processed. This includes any outstanding bills such as parking, tuition, library fines, etc. Check with the Cashiers Office or Library Circulation if you have questions regarding the status of your student account.
Commencement ceremonies are held once a year at the end of the spring semester for students who graduated in December of the previous year, and candidates for May and August graduation.
