Advising and Evaluations, International Freshman Registration Guide

Step 4: Review Your Academic Plan (MyMap)

The Major Academic Plan (MyMap) is a tool designed to help you identify the degree requirements for your major. The Major Academic Plan (MAP) lists courses in a recommended sequence. MyMap can help you identify:

  • General Education (GE) courses that also fulfill major preparation course requirements.
  • Prerequisite courses that are required for many upper-division courses.

Begin planning your courses by reviewing your MyMap and your required courses on your My Registration page on the SDSU WebPortal.

Based on your major, the fall semester will include other GE courses or other preparation for the major courses. You will need to select a course option that meets these additional General Education requirements. You can search for classes using the Browse by General Education option. This will allow you to view the courses that are available to you for the fall semester.
