SDSU Freshman Academic Success Track Summer Program

Dear Aztec,

Welcome to San Diego State University's Freshmen Academic Success Track (FAST) summer program! As your admission letter explained, you must attend and complete the FAST program in order to enroll in fall 2017 classes at SDSU. This program will provide you with the tools and resources necessary to prepare you to clear your remediation requirements before the school year begins so that you can embark upon a successful college journey.

You must fulfill five requirements to ensure successful completion of the program. Details about each requirement are at www.sdsu.edu/collegeready.

  1. Watch the video above to learn more about the FAST Information Session on Tuesday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. Make a reservation for yourself and your parents no later than Wednesday, June 14 at 8 a.m.
  2. Pay your FAST basic tuition and fees (or finalize your financial aid) by Friday, June 16. Once you pay your fees, you will be automatically registered in two three-unit classes.
  3. Fill out the San Diego City College application prior to attending the FAST Information Session. The SDCC application is a requirement because SDSU FAST courses are offered in partnership with City College.
  4. Attend FAST classes on the SDSU campus from July 6 to August 9.
  5. Make your New Student Orientation reservation for the session on Friday, July 16, which is reserved especially for FAST participants.

Again, please go immediately to www.sdsu.edu/collegeready to learn more about the FAST summer program.

If you have questions regarding the FAST Information Session or New Student Orientation, you may contact the Office of New Student and Parent Programs at (619) 594‑1509. For any other questions, please contact the Office of Admissions at (619) 594‑6336.

We look forward to having you on campus this summer. Go Aztecs!
